Grounded Leadership & Nature
Come back to yourself | See things differently | Find your way forward
Nature is the setting; you are the focus
What happens when you step away from the noise, urgency, and constant doing? You create space to breathe, space to think and notice what is really going on, and sometimes, space to hear the answers that have been there all along.
My nature-based experiences bring together the restorative power of nature, thoughtful reflection, and practical personal and leadership development to help you reconnect with yourself, gain perspective, and move forward with greater clarity and intention.
Whether you join me for a Forest Therapy Walk, spend a day exploring your own personal and professional future, or bring your team into nature, the intention is the same: to create space for something different to become possible.
There are different reasons we need to step into nature.
Sometimes we simply need to stop.
Sometimes we need to think.
Sometimes we need to have a different conversation.
And sometimes we need to work out what comes next.
That's why I offer three different ways to experience the benefits of nature.
Forest Therapy
Reconnect | Restore | Simply be
For individuals and teams who need space to slow down and reconnect.
Forest Therapy is a gentle, guided experience in nature that invites you to step out of the rush of everyday life and into your senses. There is nowhere you need to get to, nothing you need to achieve, and no problem you need to solve.
Through a series of simple invitations, you are encouraged to slow down, notice, breathe, and reconnect with yourself, others and the natural world around you. It is a chance to put down the mental load for a while and allow your mind and body to experience something different.
Forest Therapy may be for you if you are:
Feeling overwhelmed, stretched or constantly "on"
Craving some quiet and space for yourself
Looking for a different way to rest and reset
Wanting to reconnect with yourself and the natural world
Curious about what happens when you slow down and simply notice
Grounded Leadership
For Personal Development in Nature
For individuals who are ready to pause, reflect, and intentionally shape what comes next.
Sometimes we know we need a change, but we're not quite sure what that change is. Sometimes we're standing at a crossroads and sometimes life looks perfectly fine from the outside, but something inside us is asking, What's next?
Grounded Leadership: Personal Development in Nature is an immersive full-day experience designed to give you the time and space to explore those questions. Away from the noise and urgency of everyday life, we use nature as both mirror and guide. Through nature connection, personal futures thinking, and deep reflection, you'll explore where you are, where you're heading and what you want to carry forward; and what you might be ready to release.
This day is for you if you are:
At a personal or professional crossroads
Seeking greater clarity about what comes next
Feeling the need to step back and reassess
Ready to reconnect with what matters to you
Curious about how nature can support personal growth
Wanting to move from constant reaction towards more intentional choices
Grounded Leadership
For Organisations & Teams
Take your leadership development out of the boardroom.
Some conversations simply happen differently when you're not sitting around a boardroom table. Nature changes the environment, it slows the pace, and it creates breathing room, and gives our attention somewhere different to go. And it can help people step out of their usual roles and patterns, creating the conditions for different conversations, deeper connection, and fresh thinking.
And there is good reason to believe that this matters for how we think and lead.
Research into nature and attention restoration suggests that time in natural environments can help restore our capacity for directed attention; the mental effort we use to concentrate, make decisions, and stay focused. When that cognitive load is reduced, we create more space for reflection, creative thinking, and seeing problems from a different perspective.
In other words, sometimes stepping away from the problem is what helps us see the problem differently. This is particularly important for leaders and teams operating in environments of complexity, constant change and sustained cognitive demand.
I work with organisations and teams to design tailored nature-based experiences that combine leadership development, reflection, connection and meaningful conversation.
These experiences can be designed around what your people and organisation need most.
Perhaps your team needs to:
Step away from the day-to-day and reconnect
Build stronger relationships and trust
Develop more conscious and intentional leadership
Navigate change or uncertainty
Reflect on how they work together
Have conversations that are difficult to have in the office
Create space for strategic thinking and fresh perspectives
Reconnect with purpose and what matters
Slow down after a period of sustained pressure
Explore what the next chapter could look like
Not your traditional team day. This isn't about forced fun, trust falls, or a day of corporate activities. It's about creating an environment where people can pause, think, connect, and engage differently.
Your experience can include guided Forest Therapy, facilitated leadership development, reflective practices, team conversations, futures thinking or a combination designed specifically for your organisation.
